In this two-day course, Dr. Andreas Trabesinger will provide a broad overview on writing papers, grant proposals, outreach pieces and career narratives, based on his experience as a scientific consultant, science writer and former editor at Nature Physics. Drawing on a multi-level framework for scientific writing developed through years of editing and teaching, participants will learn to approach communication as a structural problem \u2014 from building a compelling narrative arc down to precise word choices and crisp graphics \u2014 and how to adapt that structure across various formats.
